Daily spit paints

Tried to join in on the daily spitpaint thing that is going on. Here are some of the things I did.

Fima

Fima is a sought after planet. The special naturally occurring dry ice formations are very valuable, many civilizations want it for themselves. Many ships came here to try and harvest this material but the harsh winter conditions damaged their vessels and killed the crews. Specially adapted ships can survive and gather the precious material but even like this their survival depends on their luck and how short the cold summer season is. Fima's natives adapted to the harsh weather conditions, and alrhough they did not develop star traveling capabilities, they learned how to scavenge the ship wrecks and use them to improve their living conditions.

Planetary city

Vorking on a project for a friend. Trying to apply some of the techniques i learned at Guerrilla. Very rough, still have a lot before i will be able to say that i am starting to get a handle on this :)

Hungarian rock climber, continued mountaineering even after he lost his leg. Drew this on a Sunday 6-7 hours ish.

I applied some of the techniques i learned at Guerrilla Games to the airplane model i did for free form shaping and modeling in Rhino.

Portrait i did for my cousin in 2,5 hours. Was really fun.

Avatar movie still study

A bit under 2 hours. I am NOT a fan of avatar so it was hard to find an image that did not annoy me, but i did like the double lighting in this image. I feel like i did learn something. Now I just need some free time to be able to implement it.

Kingdom of heaven movei still

As the title says. 1 hour study. This was really fun, feel like i got the lighting on this one quite well.

Lord Of the Rings Study

Another movie still study, i find that I make mid day lighting scenarios extremely boring. Which again i managed to pull off perfectly! 1-1.5 hours

V for Vendetta study

And another one. This time around 1,5-2  I just had to much fun with the face :)

1 hour Aliens study

Damn i rememberd being better at these, still a lot of trouble with lighting. Definitely have to do more of these.

Pinterest ladies

Ladies of the night ^_^ Well they are not of the night but i always draw them at night ... because that's when i get to have free time. Anyways this weekend i was in a bit of an art rut and couldn't get nothing on paper so last minute i decided do draw some ladies from pinterest, and it was just fun. Specially the last two i felt like i got it, proportions and everything. This quick sketches are always a lot of fun. I actually got a ton of these on paper, have to scan them one day.

Ugh. I like some art of it. I mean i feel i applied some stuff i know and where i didn't overbrush things it looks nice and paintery, but a big chunk of this is just bad.
